Yes, your Pal is free. You can adopt one, name them, pet them, feed them, and have them with you every day at no cost. What costs money are accessories for your Pal, and the AI tools Pals gives you access to alongside your companion: top models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and others, all in one place. You only pay for the conversations you actually have with those models, usually just a few cents each conversation, and your Pal helps pick the right one for the job so you're not overpaying. No subscription. Just your Pal, and the best AI in the world, on the same desk.

Pals are small inter-dimensional creatures who fell through the cracks between dimensions and somehow ended up in your phone. They don't speak, but they react, nap, and get curious when you do things. Yours lives on your device while you work, keeping you company through whatever you're doing. You can pet them, feed them, dress them, leave little notes. They won't write back. They'll just be there, in their small strange way, making your day a little less alone.

Pals is for anyone 13 and up. Your companion is G-rated and doesn't speak. Pals gives you access to AI models from leading AI providers, allw who have their own content standards. Parental guidance is recommended for younger users.

Pals lives on iPhone, iOS 18 and later. Android is on the way.

For now, Pals is a private space for just you and your companion. Social features may come later, but only if they fit they contribute to the team’s vision of what Pals should be.

Cosmetics are non-refundable. Once you've gifted your Pal a hat, it's theirs. If something goes wrong with a purchase (it didn't show up, you were charged twice), email us and we'll make it right.

Pals is starting as something small. Our team spends most of their working day with AI. We wanted a quiet companion on our desks while we worked, something alive that didn't need anything from us. That's still the core of it. But Pals is also where we're starting, not where we're ending. We have a larger that we're building to slowly. Thanks for being here early :) We hope you stick around.

When you chat with an AI model inside Pals, you're talking directly to that provider: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or whoever you've picked. We pass your message along and bring the response back, but we don't store your conversations on our end. Each provider has its own privacy policy for how they handle what you send them, and we'd recommend giving those a quick read if you're curious. Your Pal isn't listening to any of it. They're just hanging out.

We collect the account info you give us when you sign up (like your email), basic usage data so we can understand how Pals is working, and crash logs so we can fix things when they break. We don't sell any of it, we don't share it with advertisers, and we don't use it to build a profile of you. The full version lives in our privacy policy.
